Deep purple flowers 12-16cm, tepals ovate, overlapping x6-8, anthers rich red. (xB) Spring and autumn flowering. The name 'Edomurasaki' means 'Old Edo Purple', Edo being the old name for Tokyo. The colour refers to the deep reddish-purple which was favoured as the high society colour during the Edo era (16th Century - 1868). |

Large lavender-blue flowers. The centres of the tepals fade to paler blue with deeper blue veining. Contrasting centre of white filaments with purple anthers. (xC) 'Ekstra' translates as 'special' in Estonian and Swedish. Parent's name means "The silver glittering stream". |
